| The Spinnaker Tower,
Portsmouth's millennium project, was finally opened to the public in
2005. Embarrassingly it is not yet complete as the
outside lifts suffered a high-profile failure on opening day, stranding dignitaries
half-way. Despite this, the
panorama from it is remarkable, with half of Hampshire and the whole
of the Isle of Wight in view. It's also a great place to
observe harbour activity. |
